our event

The JAKES (Juniors Aquiring Knowledge, ethics, and sportsmanship) event was founded in 2002 as the areas only children's outdoor day event. Since our start the JAKES event has grown into a national award winning children's event with participants from Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kansas. While we have grown in size, our philosophy remains the same: to provide the best teachers for a safe, outdoor education that area youth would not be able to experience elsewhere.

Event activities and stations vary between age groups 5-18.  Activities include archery, horseback ridding, kayaking, fishing, stream ecology, zip line, shooting sports, tomahawk throwing, gigging, animal tracks, geocaching, and much much more.

The event is free to the first 800 participants and includes a free lunch with concessions available for purchase on site.

Groups may pre-register by calling (918)786-4280. Group registration on event day begins at 8:30 AM and participant registration begins at 8:45 AM. Stations begin at 10 AM and go until 2 PM.

No pets and no personal firearms are allowed.
